Started in 1982, Claudia’s Career Apparel remains a local New Orleans, family-owned business. The business was initially called Claude’s Clothing Store, owned by John Claude Robert Jr.  Many prominent business professionals purchased there very first suit from “Claude”. Customers found our products to be of high quality at just the right price, more reasonable than larger big-box stores in the area. In addition, people have always enjoyed coming into our store and experiencing customer service excellence. As Claudia says, “It’s like going to your family’s house”.  Everyone is welcome here.

At the age of 8, Claudia Robert began working in the shadow of her father and learned the tricks of the trade. In 1982 she open Claudia’s Men’s Wear selling men’s finest tropical weight apparel for our New Orleans weather. She expanded the company, adding Claudia’s Career Apparel, offering apparel from school uniforms to formal apparel for social clubs. Claudia maintains immense gratitude and respect to her father who started, grew, and taught her the ins and outs and idiosyncrasies of the uniform apparel industry.  Claudia learned from the best to provide excellent customer service with a personal touch.  In the summer of 2020, Claudia will expand her retail into the World Wide Web, selling directly to consumers in an easy-to-use online shop.

Keeping with the Robert tradition, there is a new generation learning the family business, passed down so the legacy continues to unfold.
